BACKGROUND OF THE ORGANIZATION

The Muslim Family Counseling Services (MFCS) is not-for-profit organisation established in 1990 by the Late Chief Imoro Baba Issa with support and encouragement from UNFPA through its Country Director Ian Howie to provide information and services on population, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, youth empowerment, child health, human rights, education, and income generating activities within deprived communities in Ghana

The organisational goal of MFCS is to improve the quality of life of people by working with other agencies in joint efforts. Since its inception, MFCS has successfully collaborated and worked with Muslim, Christian, and private-based entities, This inclusive approach is an essential practice that can be used in promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, including age appropriate sexuality education, ending Sexual and Gender Based Violence, Human Rights, Social Inclusion and Education.

The Judicious use of human and material resources allows MFCS to maximize mobilized resources to meet the needs of their beneficiaries, whilst their stringent quality control and risk management criteria help to deliver value for money

A well endowed socienty of men, women , persons with disability and younfg people living in a satisfied evironment with reduced vulnerability, poverty and squalor.

MISSION

MFCS exists to promote health, education, human rights and reduce poverty through Provision of services to the vulnerable within deprived communities in Ghana.

To promote the lives of individuals, community groups through livelihood skills provision, improving access to quality and accessible health, human rights and education.
